Module Two

I am feeling very tired after completing this Module, however I did find it very interesting. One link led to another and by the time I looked at the clock a few hours had passed.

As an Early Years Teacher I feel that blogging is something that I will not be teaching my students how to do. Instead, I think that it will be a useful way to communicate with other teachers; a way to share my thoughts and ideas; and also a way to discover what other educators are doing in their classrooms.

I have also just signed up to Twitter. I think that's why I'm now feeling so tired as I got completely lost in the set up process and 'following' certain people and groups. Yes, I am following Kim Kardashian, but who doesn't? ;-) I'm interested to discover more about how Twitter can be used in education and it's something that I will look into over the next few days.

I'm hoping that all of that made sense as I have definitely now hit the wall and will have to leave my Web 2.0 journey here for the night. Goodnight.

  1. Hi Danielle,
Early years teachers in Sale and Traralgon Catholic schools have set up private twitter accounts to allow their students to tweet to their parents. They might take a photo of their materials process in maths include with a tweet is just their short sentence on what they are doing. It makes a good reflective process and record of learning.

  2. Oh that is a good idea, I wouldn't have thought to do that. It could be nice on an excursion to tweet pics of the things that students are doing too. Definitely something that I'll look into.
