Module Two

I am feeling very tired after completing this Module, however I did find it very interesting. One link led to another and by the time I looked at the clock a few hours had passed.

As an Early Years Teacher I feel that blogging is something that I will not be teaching my students how to do. Instead, I think that it will be a useful way to communicate with other teachers; a way to share my thoughts and ideas; and also a way to discover what other educators are doing in their classrooms.

I have also just signed up to Twitter. I think that's why I'm now feeling so tired as I got completely lost in the set up process and 'following' certain people and groups. Yes, I am following Kim Kardashian, but who doesn't? ;-) I'm interested to discover more about how Twitter can be used in education and it's something that I will look into over the next few days.

I'm hoping that all of that made sense as I have definitely now hit the wall and will have to leave my Web 2.0 journey here for the night. Goodnight.

Module One

Hi. My name is Danielle and this is the first blog that I have ever written. I have to admit that it is not something that I have ever been interested in creating. However, after reading the Introduction to Web 2.0 and hearing comments from people who are further into the course than I am, I am actually really looking forward to learning more about blogs and how they can be used in education.

I have to admit that until I started Module One I didn't realise that Web 2.0 was an actual term, I thought it was the name of the course!!! Despite my initial naivety, I found the explanations in Module One very helpful and I'm looking forward to learning more about what Web 2.0 means for me as a teacher.

The journey begins...
